Astrological forecast for October 2020

With two Full Moons, October 2020 is a planetary volatile roller coaster of unpredictable events.
October 2020 requires a lot from our adaptability and patience.
This month, again the lead is for retrograde Mars in Aries, but retrograde Mercury is making headlines this troubled month.
In October 2020, there will be worldwide protests about inequalities and unfair charges.
Citizens revolt against the government, citizens no longer accept the way things are.

The influence of the historical conjunction Saturn/Pluto in Capricorn at the beginning of 2020 was a crucial aspect for the year 2020 and for our world.
This influence up to 2053/2054 reflects a 34-year period of profound changes at cultural, administrative and social level.

We are living in an unprecedented period of enormous changes, climatically, the global pandemic and its economic consequences, migration flows and mass demonstrations.
The current political climate is riddled with a perception of injustice, a struggle between good and evil.

Mars in retrograde in Aries will also lead to an uncontrolled migration flow in October 2020.
War and the global economic impact of the Corona pandemic is forcing people to leave their familiar surroundings and look for a better future.
Mars in retrograde appeals to gut feelings, fear of loss of income and freedom.
The most vulnerable among us need a voice.
The influence of the North Moon Node on the Gemini/Sagittarius axis provides that voice that balances the well being of the community in this new world.

On a collective level, Mars retrograde indicates further turbulence and worsening economic conditions.
Mars retrograde in Aries has increased rebellion, fear, fire and aggression, especially now in October 2020 because of squares with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn.
Mars will remain retrograde in Aries until November 13, 2020 and will not go back in retrograde in its own sign of Aries until the year 2067.
The fierce and intense combination of Mars retrograde with Eris (Pluto’s angry sister) will be a major challenge until the end of December 2020 to keep our planet “on course”.
Rather than taking each other out through greed and self-interest, it would be far better to use this fearless and courageous energy to stand up for each other and fight for ideals in the best interests of us all.
Together we are strong.

From October 4, 2020, Pluto in Capricorn turns direct again.
Pluto is the planet of destruction and transformation, death and rebirth.
Pluto is connected to Scorpio, Pluto is money and everything hidden.
Pluto breaks everything down first in order to rebuild.
Since April 25, 2020, a transformational process has taken place with retrograde Pluto in the cardinal sign of Capricorn. Karmic lessons have been learned about responsibility, often the hard way. Major shifts are experienced as profound, both on a personal and collective level. Once Pluto goes direct in the cardinal sign of Capricorn, the Coronavirus could re-emerge and this could coincide with sweeping geopolitical changes, power struggles and confrontations around the world, resulting in a further downward spiral in the global economy.

The global impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is enormous. From the year 2025, a structural improvement will come with Pluto in Aquarius trine Uranus in Gemini sextile Neptune in Aries.
The interplanetary collaboration of these celestial giants will have a positive effect on the world as a whole from late 2025 to mid-2029.

Fortunately, there are bright spots! From the end of October 2020, Saturn will lose its hard grip on Pluto in Capricorn, which will give Jupiter the opportunity to find a healing solution together with Neptune in Pisces in the form of the availability of a medicine and/or a vaccine against Covid-19.

Jupiter, the planet of justice and lofty ideals, runs direct since September 13, 2020, and Saturn is direct in Capricorn since October 30, 2020.
So for Jupiter and Saturn it is full speed ahead, on to Aquarius, where they will form a conjunction at the end of December 2020.

So there is light at the end of the tunnel, but we still have to bite the bullet until the end of December 2020.

Back to October 2020….

The first Full Moon of October 2020, the Full Moon in Aries of October 1, 2020, disturbs sleepy retrograde Mars which can cause tensions in the world.

On October 7, 2020, we can look forward to the peak of the Draconid Meteor Shower in the constellation of Draco with an average of 10 shooting stars fall per hour.
The meteors are dust particles from the comet 21P Giacobini-Zinner, discovered in 1900.
The Draconids are best seen in the early morning.

On October 9, 2020, direct Pluto in Capricorn at 22º in Capricorn will be exactly square to retrograde Mars in Aries, fanning the flames of Mars. For the second time this year, this planetary tension between Mars and Pluto could be the cause of extreme weather events, an increase in violence, frustration and confrontation due to fear and repressed feelings.

To complete the volatile picture of October 2020, Mercury in Scorpio turns retrograde…
The last retrograde period in 2020 of Mercury is from October 14th, 2020 to October 28th, 2020 in Scorpio, descending to Libra from October 29th to November 10th, 2020.
So both Mercury and Mars are retrograde in the second half of October 2020, indicating that this period will be marked by confusion, a sense of disorientation and adrift, as if the world has lost its way. During this retrograde period, there may be financial delays with banking institutions. It feels like during this period the account is being settled or a new chance is being offered.
During a retrograde period of Mercury, there is almost never any progress.
Decisions made during this period are reversed when retrograde ends, which is certainly the case now.

From November 3, 2020, Mercury will immediately return to Libra at 25º57’ and from that moment on, relational processes which had preciously reached deadlock, can be restarted.
This is also “Election Day” in the United States of America.

Many ask me if President Trump will be re-elected next month.
The planetary positions indicate that a second term for Donald J. Trump is very possible.
At election time, there may be something about the health of rival Joe Biden or negative information about Joe Biden or his running mate may be released.
As mentioned, Mercury in Libra turns direct on November 3, 2020, Election Day. Mercury is the Ruler of Gemini and Trump has his Sun in Gemini.
Mars is in conjunction with Trump’s Leo ascendant. Mercury is retrograde in Scorpio from October 14, 2020 and Mars in Aries was retrograde from September 9th, 2020, so for the entire period leading up to Election Day, both Mercury and Mars in Aries are retrograde.
Due to the influence of these retrograde planets, there may be scandals, unreliable or deliberately distorted information during the election period, as well as large-scale protests against the incumbent President. The many retrograde planets also suggest that the Democrats will do everything possible to frustrate and dispute the election results. But whether the winner is Trump or Biden, things will not be easy for the President of the United States. In any case, there will be major political unrest before, during and after the election battle.

On October 14, 2020, the Sun in Libra will be exactly opposite Mars in Aries in retrograde.
The red planet will then be closest to Earth and due to the opposition, retrograde Mars will be fully illuminated by the Sun. The cosmic energy on Earth will be felt and noticed even more strongly due to the proximity of Mars, so there may be explosions, fires or acts of violence.

On October 15th, 2020, the Sun in Libra will be square to Pluto in Capricorn and on October 18th, 2020, it will be Saturn in Capricorn’s turn to square the Sun in Libra. Partly because of these planetary tension fields, mid-October 2020 will be marked by delay, frustration and disappointment. The Sun square Saturn in Capricorn puts us to the test, a test that we have to get through.

On October 16, 2020, the New Moon will be in Libra.

On October 21, 2020, the annual Orionid Meteor rain will take place in the constellation of Orion.
The “shooting stars” are particles of dust from Halley’s ancient comet.
Every year the Orionids visit us from October 2 to November 7. This year, the Orionids are best seen from the night of October 21 to the morning of October 22, 2020.

From October 23rd, 2020, the Sun will travel through the Pluto-ruled water sign Scorpio.
Over the next four weeks, this is an all or nothing energy that makes us pervasively look at important issues such as relationships, career and life, as well as our desires, passion, motivation, secrets and underlying thoughts.
This plutonic energy wants to feed the soul, but it also wants to make everything disappear that no longer serves our progress of life.

The second Full Moon of October 2020, the Blue Moon of October 31, 2020 coincides with All Saints’ Day or Halloween, also known as All Hallow’s Eve or Samhain. The ritual Celtic New Year! Samhain symbolizes the end and the beginning of the new year.
A Blue Moon does not often happen and then again at Halloween!
We have to wait until 2039 for the next Blue Moon on Halloween.
The Blue Moon in Taurus gives October 2020 a volatile sequence….
This Full Moon is in conjunction with retrograde Uranus in Taurus. Uranus in Taurus is “closest” to Earth during this period, so strong (however can only be seen as a tiny blue-green dot with a very strong telescope). The theme of this Full Moon is freedom within relationships.
Unexpected events can give this special day and the weeks afterwards will become intense for all forms of relationships, personal, economic and political.
Challenges arising from this opposition are an indicator of the quality of any relationship.

Have a safe October month everyone!
