The warm month of August 2015 opens with the feast of Lammas or Lughnassadh. It is the time of abundance and fulfillment. Nature is at its peak and has come to full bloom. The fruits are ripe and it’s almost Harvest Time. Once again, we experience the very beginning of Autumn!
From August 9 to September 25, 2015 the red planet Mars will be traveling through the constellation of Leo. The Sun travels through Leo until August 23, 2015. Until August 7, 2015 Mercury travels through Leo. Jupiter will remain in Leo until August 12, 2015. Throughout the entire month of August 2015, Venus retrograde will remain in Leo. With so many planetary energies in fiery Leo, August 2015 is the month par excellence to bring your best self forward. Show yourself! Be creative and enjoy the warmth of Leo.
August is however a month of ups and downs in which many of us are faced with parting and loss in many areas. Many hearts will be broken and many will have to start over again.
In the second half of August 2015 the transition of Jupiter from Leo to the constellation of Virgo will like a cold shower for many of us.
August 2015, however, ends with a beautiful cosmic gift which will restore confidence in love and life.
On August 2, 2015 Saturn awakens at 28º17 in intense Scorpio from its retrograde sleep. Saturn, the planet of structure, tradition, obligations and commitments continues its journey through Scorpio from this day forward. Saturn’s journey in Scorpio will be completed on September 18, 2015.
Especially now the emphasis to mid-September 2015 is on confrontation and transformation of our dark side and fears. Many of us will be faced this Summer with the deepest fears in order to step out from their own shadow! The inner pressure is very much alive and the influence of the direct Saturn in Scorpio will lead this summer of 2015 to even more delay and restrained tension.
The next time Saturn will travel thorough Scorpio is about 30 years from now! The swan song of Saturn in Scorpio may lead to great social unrest and violence in the world.
In 2014 Jupiter and Saturn clashed swords before.
On 3 and August 4, 2015 Jupiter, accompanied by Venus retrograde in Leo will be squaring Saturn in Scorpio at 28º. Tension will rise again.
Jupiter wants expansion and progress. Saturn is conservative and restrictive.
This tense square results in friction and shows the beginning of another global economic and political crisis.
The chasm between the rich and the poor will widen because of the migration from poor countries where civil war and poor economic conditions prevail. Overall, the power of government is put to the test, but we are faced with the fact how much restrictions and regulations imposed by the government affect our daily lives. Confrontations with the government and the administrative power can not be avoided.
We have to deal with moral conflicts.
Is a situation right or wrong?
Are the decisions taken the right ones?
Jupiter is nearing the end of its voyage through Leo.
The severe Saturn calls Jupiter to order and this really feels like playtime is over.
On 5 August 2015, the retrograde Venus is once again in the arms of Jupiter in Leo. Just like early July 2015 we are again treated to a magnificent celestial jewel in the evening sky.
On August 8, 2015 the rapid Mercury enters the earthly realm of Virgo. Because of this positive energy moral values return to the agenda and mutual cooperation in this violent period will be fostered in order to achieve social goals.
In the second week of August 2015, Jupiter, the planet of Great Abundance leaves the fiery and proud Leo and enters the earthly and practical Virgo on August 11, 2015, where it will stay until September 9, 2016. The last time Jupiter traveled through the earthly realm of Virgo was from September 2003 to September 2004, more than twelve years ago.
Jupiter in the earthly realm of Virgo has a positive economic effect. The economy will stabilize and will compensate the heavy losses in recent years. Especially in health care, in the coming year measures will be taken to improve overall health. There will be room again for alternative medicines, body awareness, more work in health care and also new discoveries and developments are made in medicine and treatments.

On 12 and 13 August 2015, we are treated to the annual Perseids meteor shower from the comet Swift-Tuttle. The extremely bright meteor shower is from July 17 to August 24, 2015, but on 12 and 13 August 2015, the shooting stars are best visible in the constellation Perseus. Wit no Full Moon, the night is extra dark and the meteor shower is therefore more visible. Perhaps you are able to catch a falling star!
On 14 August 2015, the New Moon is in Leo. Greed and lust for power can lead to hasty decisions and rebellion.
On August 16, 2015 the Sun and Venus retrograde merge at 22º in the fiery constellation of Leo. A wonderful setting to enjoy the love and all the beauty that life has to offer.
On 24 August 2015, the Sun enters the earthly realm of Virgo. Because of this transition, the more ego-driven energy is exchanged for a practical, critical and servile atmosphere.
The Sun merges on August 26, 2015 at 4º along with Jupiter in Virgo, creating a sense of social connectedness.
August 2015 closes with a beautiful cosmic gift restoring confidence in love and life as of 29 August to 4 September, when the retrograde Venus and Mars will merge together in the fiery constellation of Leo.
And that's not all.
