December 2014

Astrological forecast December 2014

The year 2014 is nearing its end. The last month of 2014 invites you to look back on all the events of the past year.
High expectations for the future at the beginning of this year have been revised downwards. Changes are taking place all over the world on a large scale, but many hopes are bogged down in disappointment. Many people wonder where it is all heading.
The beginning of December is somewhat quiet and should be seen as a sequel to the positive energy of November 2014. Despite of the positive energy there is a growing tension in the air and that has to do with the impending sixth exact planetary clash on December 15. 2014 between the cosmic giants Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. The second half of December 2014 will have an intense course in many ways. After December 15. 2014 widely unexpected and drastic events will take place that will bring the world in turmoil.
On December 8 the great benefactor Jupiter in Leo goes retrograde. The retrograde Jupiter in Leo takes us to April 7th 2015 on a quest to reach a deeper truth. During these four months, principles, opinions and beliefs are reconsidered to see if they fit in the portrait of time.
The road goes first inward in order to grow in wisdom.
Since 2012 we have already had five exact squares between Pluto and Uranus. During these years, the world has totally changed. The world has become more dangerous, more violent, there is more suffering, emotional struggle, anger and powerlessness.
An exact square is actually a marker in time and space. Planetary energies are always around us and entangle us in a cosmic embrace. This exact square is not as violently as the previous square that we have experienced in April 2014. This square should be seen as a reminder of an urgent existing situation that has not yet been resolved.
On December 24, after more than two years, the old Saturn leaves the deep waters of Scorpio for the fiery realm of Sagittarius. What does Sagittarius want? Sagittarius wants a forward orientated energy What does Sagittarius want from Saturn? That justice will be done and structured research is promoted. On the other hand, Saturn is conservative and prefers to leave it the way things are. The journey through Scorpio has taught has us wise lessons. Now we are encouraged to take the next step to grow in wisdom. Saturn goes retrograde in March 2015 and will temporarily visit Scorpio again from June 16th to September 18, 2015. During that period, unveiled issues from the last two years will return to be solved for once and for all. After this retrograde period, Saturn will continue his journey through Sagittarius until 20 December 2017.
With the constructive quality of Saturn the focus shifts to the investigation of belief systems. Previously tried and conservative ideas will be restored. Restrictions may be set in belief systems. Also stricter conditions on international relations, air traffic, border control and border provision. There will be changes in higher education and media. There will be more control on shared information regarding the Internet and Social Media. Even though this new energy would lead to further mutual understanding, I think that Saturn in Sagittarius nourishes the individual superiority which will lead to more intolerance.
Actually it should be said that the world is in an emotional state of emotional exhaustion .
Saturn in Sagittarius will form a Trine in Fire with Uranus in Aries and Jupiter in Leo. This energy could lead to even more volcanic activity and bush fires. Climate change is experienced right now a visible shift of the seasons is occurring. New technologies of renewable energy sources such as air, water and soil energy will be further stimulated and developed.
Uranus, the planet of individuality and freedom awakens on 21 December from its long retrograde period.
A special event, because on this very spacial day, the beginning of the astronomical Winter Solstice takes place. It is Yule, the magic of Midwinter in which the shortest day and the longest night of the year is celebrated. Today the return of the light is celebrated. This day is a day of hope for a new beginning. This day is extra special, because today the Winter begins with a New Moon. Spiritual seen as a blessed event.
The opposing forces of Mars in Aquarius and Jupiter in Leo on a global scale, will be fooling the stock markets, making it risky to invest. The global rise in the price of fossil fuels is the reason why traveling is becoming more and more expensive.
On December 18 Mercury will enter the sign of Capricorn and rushes into Pluto on December 25, 2014. By doing so, Mercury will  revive the tension to the square between Pluto and Uranus once again. With this intense encounter the urge to find out the truth to come out is very intense and can lead to profound revelations during the Christmas season.
The combination of the square between Uranus and Pluto and the input of Mars and Saturn in Sagittarius is not easy. A true economic challenge. The last week of December 2014, these energies may cause a financial showdown. Stock markets anywhere in the world will have a very erratic and disorderly conduct, especially in the days around Christmas.
On new year's Eve we may rejoice in an astrological deadlock.

Looking back on 2014 we will realize that, despite all the challenges, we have made leaps and bounds in our evolution.
Even though there are still many worries and unfulfilled desires, we learned from 2014. Let's join together in 2015.

The year 2015 is the year in which the very last encounter between Uranus and Pluto will take place.
From an astrological point of view things will calm down after 2018 on our Earth, but it will certainly take until 2025 before all the dust has settled.

Have a nice December month!
