Astrological forecast for August 2020

We are living in a crazy time of great shifts in collective and individual consciousness.

The outer planets Saturn and Jupiter in Capricorn have entered the final phase of Capricorn and will reach the zodiac sign Aquarius in late 2020, as regards justice and well-being for all.

Already, the nonconformist energies of the free-spirited Aquarius are present in a polarized world of division.

It may feel like something big is about to happen.

Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto are on the final grades of Capricorn so every decision and choice made seems to be particularly heavy, as if we were given a last chance to do things right and get things into one line, both individually and collectively.

Humanity is at a time when our collective karma is being purified.

We must face the truth and overcome old negative collective patterns to enable collective growth.

The last time Saturn and Pluto conjunct Capricorn was 500 years ago. In those years, humanity has plundered Mother Earth and taken advantage of others, centuries of insatiable greed, power, slavery and division. The world is completely out of balance.

From January 2021, Jupiter and Saturn will be in Aquarius, with changes for all walks of life, all cultures, races and religions.

Just like the previous month of July 2020, month of intensity August 2020 is dominated by oppositional and concentrated energies. The many T-squares indicate that important social issues need to be repaired and resolved.

Uranus turns retrograde this month, so the genie is out of the bottle.

From August to December 2020, red planet Mars travels through its own sign Aries.

Mars is very strong in its own sign of Aries and that particular fiery energy felt on Earth. Due to retrograde, Mars will remain in Aries until the beginning of January 2021.

Such a long stay of Mars in Aries has not happened since 1988 …

In addition to a possible economic recession, volatile Mars in Aries may lead to an increase in political conflict, rebellion, separatism, threat of war, upheaval, public outcry and global protests demanding change. In addition, there is an increased risk of major forest fires and floods throughout the world.

The first half of August 2020, Mars in Aries sets the productive pace and mountains can be moved. However, in August 2020, Mars will cross swords with Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn in Aries.

On August 4, 2020, Mars in Aries square retrograde Jupiter in Capricorn, on August 13, 2020 square retrograde Pluto in Capricorn and August 24 square Saturn in Capricorn. Under the influence of Neptune retrograde, the energy will be focused this summer on the COVID-19 pandemic. The squares that Mars form in August 2020 show sacrifices from us all, but there is also opposition and resistance from all walks of life. From September 9, 2020, Mars in Aries turns retrograde and things will gradually become calmer.

Comet C/2020 F3 Neowise can be seen in the western sky approximately until mid-August 2020, at a distance of just over 100 million kilometers from our Earth.

A comet like Neowise is incidentally an ice-like remnant from the “prehistoric time” of our solar system. In the vicinity of the hot Sun, the outer layer of ice evaporates. Neowise is then a five-kilometer chunk of ice and debris, surrounded by a cloud of dust, water vapor and other gases, which is the characteristic “tail” of the comet.

On the first day of the Harvest Month of August 2020, we celebrate the festival of Lammas or Lugnassadh in the Northern Hemisphere.

The time of harvest, golden glow, abundance and fulfillment.

Lughnasadh announces the end of Summer. The first signs of Autumn are already visible.

The days are getting shorter and the surrounding colors are changing into golden brown.

On August 3, 2020, three is a Full Moon at 11º46 ‘in Aquarius.

Mercury is on the threshold of Cancer and faces retrograde Saturn in Capricorn.

From August 6, 2020, Mercury travels through fiery Leo. Mercury in Leo stimulates creativity and self-expression, motivates us to find creative ways to connect with others, but can also bluff and embellish things.

From August 8, Venus travels through Cancer. Until September 6, 2020, Venus in Cancer is the soothing and adaptive factor in these turbulent times. Venus in Cancer seeks protection from home and hearth, but it can also be super sensitive, causing us to get hurt no regels whatsoever. Unresolved issues from the last retrograde cycle of Venus from May 13 to June 14, 2020 may return.

From 11 to 12 August 2020, we can look forward to the annual Perseid Meteor Shower in the constellation Perseus. These meteors in the Northern Hemisphere consist of grit from Comet Swift-Tuttle, which was discovered in 1862.

Up to 100 meteors can be observed per hour. This meteor shower can be seen annually from July 17 to August 24.

On August 13, 2020, just before sunrise, radiant Venus reaches its highest point above the horizon in the eastern morning sky.

On August 13, 2020, we are also dealing with the first square of 2020 between Mars in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. However, the tension is clearly noticeable a week before and a week after this aspect. This is an even more intense energy than we had in the second half of March 2020.

On March 23, 2020 there was the exact conjunction of  red warrior Mars with Pluto at 28º Capricorn, a powerful overwhelming primal energy of ambition, passion, drive and motivation, but unfortunately also of selfishness, selfishness and loss of self-control. The world was in lockdown  because of the Coronavirus and we all had to deal with the social, economic and societal consequences. Mars and Pluto then stood side by side, a bundled intense energy, but this square is a serious challenge for society, a time of upheaval and turmoil.

From August 15, 2020 Uranus in Taurus turns retrograde. Until January 13, 2021, there will be delays.  Uranus retrograde is a 155-day annual cycle where Uranus drops four degrees.

Retrograde Uranus takes us back to the cause, to the Source, to ourselves.

Uranus’ groundbreaking and quirky power is directed inward during retrograde. The focus is on inner change, internal restructuring and transformation.

It’s time to face our fears and change the things that don’t work, both on a personal and global scale.

We will feel the need to make changes in society, but without becoming overly reactive.

During this retrograde period of Uranus, it is revealed what it takes to evolve to a new level of BEING.

Many of us are waiting for a change in life or wanting to make changes from a deep drive or desire for more personal freedom, however notice that nothing changes.

This is mainly due to a deep-seated fear, which is the greatest obstacle to making or daring to accept changes. However, it will not be easy, because retrograde Uranus in earthly Taurus wants to cling to old known structures.

Fear of change is our greatest enemy and hinders our personal growth.

During this period, there will be more inner stress, anxiety, restlessness, anxiety disorders, convulsions, neurotic behavior or mood swings due to external changes in the world around us.

In the second half of August 2020, retrograde Uranus forms beautiful aspects with Venus in Cancer and retrograde Jupiter in Capricorn and that can be financially beneficial.

Uranus is the wild card among planets, so take into account amazing shifts and unexpected effects, so turmoil in the outside and inner world around us and in ourselves, especially now with Mars in Aries.

Uranus retrograde in Taurus gives the inner strength to finally make the desired changes possible as soon as Uranus turns its direct motion, in this case from January 13, 2021.

The New Moon in Leo on August 19, 2020 forms a Yod with retrograde Saturn in Capricorn, Mercury in Leo and the North Node in Gemini. This Yod (the pointing Finger of God) challenges us to grow up and take responsibility for our actions and the impact that these actions have on others.

A moment to do the “right thing” and take a new path. Standing side by side and helping each other instead of fighting each other. Connecting with the earth, yourself, with others and all things on earth that are sacred to you.

On August 23, 2020, the Sun enters the terrestrial realm of Virgo.

For the Northern Hemisphere, the Sun in Virgo signifies the early transition from Summer to the Autumn equinox on September 21, 2020.

The next few weeks will be about details, cleanup, perception, sorting, sorting out, practicality and practicality, efficiency, perfectionism, productivity in the working environment and pragmatic approach to relationships.

Themes related to organization, employment and health care will be discussed until mid-September 2020. Despite the dedication to the proposed objectives, processes can be slowed because of retrograde Uranus in Taurus.

The years 2018, 2019 and 2020 are a three-year cosmic trilogy of transformation and new consciousness.

The dynamics of 2018 represented the preparation of this trilogy.

The year 2019 was the year of letting go, “cleaning” and complete reorganization.

The year 2020 is the year of truth and the gateway to the future with the groundbreaking conjunction of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. A whole new era for humanity….

With all this in mind, it makes sense that August 2020 it will be turbulent a time.

Old economic and political systems are on the verge of disappearing into the abyss of history. New systems will be replaced and will take a dominant position.

But no system gives up without a fight. The final convulsions of the old world are fierce throughout the second half of 2020, but are ultimately meaningless, as the year 2020 will vigorously contribute to obliterating the old political unipolar world model that will no longer do.

On to a multipolar world, protest movements are becoming more intense and frequent.

The period between August and October 2020 can lead to painful inequalities, upheaval, turmoil, hostility and a massive global economic crisis that will affect all countries around the world.

The six eclipses in 2020 can be seen as a large cosmic broom that will wipe out the last remnants of the ancient world in the years to come.

Wishing you all a safe month of August!
